Strongest Drawer Cabinet with concealed aluminum extrusion frame — build video

Strongest Drawer Cabinet — Concealed Aluminum Extrusion Frame (Build Video)

What this build is

A drawer cabinet built to carry a serious load — a large 3D printer on top was the design brief — without looking like industrial equipment. The strength comes from a 3030 aluminum extrusion frame reinforced with double joints; the looks come from wood panels that wrap the frame completely. From the outside it reads as furniture. Open a drawer and the frame tells the real story.

What the video covers

  • Building the reinforced 3030 extrusion frame with double-joint corners
  • A method for mounting drawer slides directly to extrusion — no wooden carcass needed
  • Wrapping the frame in wood panels so the aluminum stays concealed
  • Why this is Material Fusion: aluminum for strength, wood for finish, hardware chosen for each job

Key details

  • Frame: 3030 series aluminum extrusion, double-jointed
  • Size: 717 × 647 × 788 mm
  • Parts in the model: 565, each drawn and labelled
