Customized laboratory mobile table in aluminum extrusion — build video

Laboratory Mobile Table — Step by Step in Aluminum Extrusion (Build Video)

What this build is

A mobile table engineered for a laboratory — one of the strongest, most adaptable structures we have built. Heavy 4040 and 5050 aluminum extrusion carries the load, wood panels give the working surfaces, 3D-printed brackets and heavy-duty castors handle the details. It rolls, and it does not flex.

What the video covers

  • Cutting and drilling 5050 and 4080 extrusion for blind joints, using the 50-to-40 series jigs
  • Aligning the mixed-size frame with the 40 to 50 alignment jigs
  • Fitting the castors, panels and 3D-printed brackets
  • The finished table under load

Key details

  • Frame: 4040, 4080 and 5050 series aluminum extrusion
