Who We Are

Name: The Aluminum Carpenter Pte. Ltd.
What we are: a design and fabrication studio. We design structures, furniture and workshop machines in 3D, build them by hand, film the whole build, and then release the project as plans.
Where: Singapore. Every design is built and filmed in our studio.

Precision jigs. Over 100 drilling and alignment jigs for 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50 series aluminum extrusion, designed and manufactured in our studio. They place holes to the millimetre with a hand drill, so joints come out strong, flush and hidden. See the jigs.
Design downloads. More than 30 designs: workbenches, cabinets, desks, beds, 3D printer racks, lab tables and exhibition boxes. Each is the real project file: a full 3D model in STEP and Shapr3D, a cut list, drilling diagrams and hardware links. Browse the designs.

Tools and hardware. The tools, fasteners, brackets and hinges we use in our own builds. See the tools.

The blind joint. A bolt driven through one extrusion into a threaded hole in the other, completely hidden. It is stronger and cleaner than an external bracket, and it needs holes placed to the millimetre. Our jigs exist to make that possible with a hand drill.
Material Fusion. We combine aluminum extrusion with laminated wood, acrylic, 3D printed parts, magnets, LED lighting and concealed wiring, each material doing the job it is best at.

Jigs are physical products, manufactured in our studio and shipped from Singapore with bolts and nuts included, ready to use.
